My short term mission trip to Uganda with African Christian Fellowship (ACF) Missions Inc was absolutely amazing!! I am so glad that I embraced my "uncomfort zone" and travelled to the 'Pearl of Africa' Uganda. It's a beautiful country with rich culture and incredible people. I'm honored God called me to serve there.  Before I left, there were spaces in me that were doubtful of my own abilities, but I remained prayerful and faithful. I clung to the fact that before the earth was formed, or even one star was pressed into the night sky, God knew me! God had a plan for me then and He prepared me for this trip for such a time as this. 

Throughout the trip, God showed himself to be awesome!! Here are a few highlights from our time in the Kumi and Fort Portal district:

• Evangelism crusades were filled with bilingual praise, worship and messages of how great our God is. Many children, adults, and seniors began a fresh relationship with Jesus as a result.

• Our medical outreach was a major success!!  God held back the rain and allowed us to provide over 2,500 people with free medication, food, and clothing.  One day He displayed a rainbow reminding us that's He's faithful to keep all His promises.

• Over 150 children received toiletries and a lesson in proper hygiene and bathing techniques.  As we sang songs, played, and danced with them, we prayed over their lives confident that God had great things in store for these precious ones. 

• Young people who grew up orphans due to war, poverty, and the HIV/AIDS epidemic shared inspiring stories and taught us that none of us are forgotten by God.  He knows and sees all and is more than able to create something beautiful from our brokenness.
